Prophylaxis Practice

Rotenburg

In 2015 to 2016, D:4 undertook the design and execution for the conversion of an existing commercial practice into a dental prophylaxis studio.

Project

The reconstruction measures were limited to the ground floor area of the two-storey building. For this project, the interior of the basement on the street side was divided into five dental prophylaxis studios.

The clinker brick façade with the large northeast-facing shop window on the ground floor has been retained, although the window front has been restructured with green elements. Thus the original character of the building is enhanced by a contemporary component. The originally single-glazed shop windows were replaced by double-glazed panes.

The practice's spacious registration area now adjoins a waiting zone in the corridor area, which allows patients short distances to the studios. Further studios and an office are located in the rear part of the building. A bright colour scheme, the customer-friendly room structure and a clear design create an inviting atmosphere.

The upper floors remained untouched by the measures.
