In his role as co-spokesperson of the network Schaustelle Nachkriegsmoderne, Marcus Nitschke moderated the first block of the conference "The New Energy of Post-War Modernism" on 4 April 2024.
, which was organized by interbau e.V., addressed issues relating to the energy-efficient refurbishment and basic supply of large building complexes from the 1950s. There is a need for sustainable solutions for owners, architects and heritage protection authorities that address the relationship between structural substance, energy supply and energy efficiency. The aim is to show that monument protection and sustainability are not opposites, but can be part of a solution-oriented dialog.
