D:4 refurbished the kindergarten for the Evangelical Church of the Resurrection in Rotenburg a. d. Wümme. As part of the package of measures, the "Kinderarche" kindergarten was renovated and modernized in two phases.

In the first construction phase of the project, the sanitary facilities, windows and doors were refurbished. Due to an unexpected discovery of asbestos, the interior cladding of the ceilings and the walls were also renovated to improve energy efficiency, and the flooring was completely renewed.

During the design phase, the play zones and checkroom area of the kindergarten were redesigned. The rooms are based on the latest pedagogical findings and have a contemporary design.

Individual wardrobe solution: flexible shelving system in bright red

A modern shelving system in bright red divides the checkroom area into different sections. A central meeting place is created at the entrance, while the back of the shelving offers retreat options for the children. The system allows young users to customize their own area and adapt it to their size using adjustable shelves, hooks and drawers.

The play zones differ in terms of color and design of the play elements, so that no two play areas are the same.

Color concept in sanitary and sleeping areas

The sanitary facilities and sleeping areas of the "Kinderarche" are also designed in a sophisticated color concept that is tailored to the respective use of the rooms. The kindergarten's equipment is both functional and modern and meets the requirements of a contemporary educational space.
