With its eight versatile apartments, the LebensArt Rotenburg residential project offers space for different lifestyles. It combines an ecological lifestyle with modern, communal living and creates a place where privacy and community come together in harmony.

Apartments and communal areas

Eight individually designed apartments, which vary in size and shape, provide residents with both places of retreat and communal living. A centrally located, two-storey atrium with a kitchenette and guest apartment serves as a meeting place, communication hub and event space. Here, coexistence between the generations is promoted by sharing common resources and supporting a sustainable way of life.

The building at Mühlenstraße 29a in Rotenburg consists of two full storeys and a converted attic. Three apartments are grouped around the central atrium on the ground and upper floors, while further apartments are located on the top floor. The apartment sizes vary between 40 and 120 m². Underfloor heating and controlled ventilation with heat recovery contribute to the building's ecological footprint. A staircase and elevator provide barrier-free access to all apartments and communal areas.

With 40 photovoltaic modules, geothermal energy and a high standard of thermal insulation, the building achieves a high level of energy efficiency and is largely independent of external power supplies. Sharing resources and reducing land consumption are integral components of the ecological living concept.

Award and recognition

The LebensArt Rotenburg residential project was awarded the Green House Number in the New Construction category in 2023 for its forward-looking and energy-efficient concept. With this award, the Climate Protection and Energy Agency of Lower Saxony recognizes construction projects that meet at least the Efficiency House 40 standard and are outstanding examples of sustainable construction and renovation.
